Frequently Asked Questions

apiMAX™ is ais a Chemical Process Simulation Software that runs on Windows. It's a desktop application written in C++. This program enables the user to design Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), which can be quickly and easily transformed to a model, if stream and equipment parameters are given. apiMAX™ can be used to design and test a new chemical plant with given constraints and functionality, so that the plant will operate as close to design specifications as possible, while minimizing additional expenses. apiMAX™ can also be used to simulate existing chemical plants and help to identify the benefits from possible process modifications.

Unlike point solutions that only address specific process areas, apiMAX™ addresses inefficiencies throughout the plant, resulting in millions of dollars in monetary savings and increased customer satisfaction. apiMAX™ is used for Steady State modeling. That means it can be used for the representation of a chemical process during a specific period/instance of time via the use of various equations/algorithms/process knowledge. In steady-state modeling, time is not a variable. American Process International uses this software for strategic analysis studies and engineering/design work.

Once you’ve created a model, you can export it as a .pdf or transfer the values as DDE/RTD links to Excel for seamless integration with further analysis.
